I am planning on doing a cam swap somewhere near the end of the summer. I heard that it would be a good idea to replace the timing chain if i went with a stiffer spring plus the fact that the car has 52000 miles on it. In the mean time I was checking out the procedure for an oil pump swap on installuniversity.com and it doesn't look like to much fun. So i was hoping that there was a link in the timing chain that could be disconnected somewhat like a bicycle chain so that i didn't have to remove the oil pump. Have you ever heard of anything like that?
