Its a lot easier if you just read the documentation here: http://ls1.fbody.com

1moreblackta - Remember to check and see if you need to put a rocker shim under the rockers. The heads were milled .030 and the pushrods are 7.35 which is .050 shorter than stock. I remember being told it should take one shim per side. Don't ask me how to check because I don't know. I was going to pay somebody to install that stuff.

matt

Sorry Matt! I was pretty sure I mentioned that. All you have to do is check the first rocker on each head and if they need to be shimmed you just put the shim under them all, thats what I was told anyway.

I think you need to recruit some of the experts from this site **cough** jmX **cough** to come over and give you a hand installing that stuff. Then you can sit back and

Hahaha...Good deal man.

I am procharged no longer. I took the blower off to change the ATI idler pulley out and decided not to put it back on. I'm getting the car and ATI ready to go.

I'm currently getting a 422 iron block motor built to put into a '99 2wd reg. cab stepside pickup truck. So beware of any revving pickups like described above if your ever in the MD/VA/DC area.

Let's just say JMX's write up rocks. If your having problems getting to JMX you should try the full path as http://ls1.fbody.com/car/mods/heads/install.html . I'll e-mail it to you as a backup word document. It probably won't have the picks though.

I'm going to start my car up to relearn the PCM after using JMX's site for the last two days.

Roughammer also has a write up you can try to get too.
