im sure ppl will agree that its a big step up from stock and still pass emmissions

SS picked a good cam. Also you could use the Thunder 224 cam. Package deal for 699.99 includes cam, gaskets, springs, and pushrods.

I would think the Thunder Racing 220 on 114 LSA, or the B1 (221 on 114 LSA) would pass emissions OK. I know people pass with bigger cams, but your tuning will have to be very good, and you may have to resort to a few "tricks".
If all these tweaks / tricks fail, I know some people that have managed to pass by bringing along a little extra cash to the inspection...

Don't know power output from the TR220 cam as I have GTP heads also. I don't dyno either, but it definitely pulls hard I passed TX emissions with 10 HC of 220 standard 0 CO on 1.20 standard 15% dilution on > 6 standard and CO2 at 15 on the High Speed Test. Low Speed was 46 HC, .03 CO,14.4 CO2,14.43 dilution

Stock Manifolds/Cats/Dynomax 3" I pipe and Ultra Flow Muffler.
Haven't installed the Hooker LT's yet. Do not know what cats I can use on the Hooker Y pipe, and hearing more valvetrain noise has kept me from rushing to do it.

Well I have the TR 224/224 114LSA cam and had to have the guy do a few "legal" tricks to get the sniffer to pass but it passed with the SLP LT headers and Random Tech high flow cats. I may have been ok had I had a programmer at the time to raise idle. The ~700rpm idle I think was really hurting the sniffer.

Well I have a few choices I guess. I have the MAC headers on order now. Should I do mild head work too??
