Default cam question??

I just installed a compcam 222/226 112 with springs and pushrods in my
00 Z28. My question is when the car is at idle, it smell like gas. Is this normal?
Do I have a air/fuel ratio problem? Any help would be appreciated...

Give the car a little while to get used to the cam.. it take the PCM some time to adjust to the new cam.
Also.... have you run the car on an auto tap? or other diagnostic equipment?

No codes?

My SES light is on, the shop who installed the cam said that the light would turn on. Would my ported MAF have anything to do with it??? Rockls1

Your SES light is on because of multiple misfires. Aftermarket cams tend to do that w/ stock tuning. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> If you're not running cats, then you're going to get a very noticable smell w/ the bigger cam in place; that's normal. If you're smelling raw fuel, then that's a different story.
