cam question??

cam question?? I just installed a compcam 222/226 112 with springs and pushrods in my
00 Z28. My question is when the car is at idle, it smell like gas. Is this normal?
Do I have a air/fuel ratio problem? Any help would be appreciated...

Re: cam question?? Give the car a little while to get used to the cam.. it take the PCM some time to adjust to the new cam.
Also.... have you run the car on an auto tap? or other diagnostic equipment?

Re: cam question?? Your SES light is on because of multiple misfires. Aftermarket cams tend to do that w/ stock tuning. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> If you're not running cats, then you're going to get a very noticable smell w/ the bigger cam in place; that's normal. If you're smelling raw fuel, then that's a different story.
