Default Bad news... And good news ?

Well first the bad news. Mark @ Andy's Auto finally got to the bottom of all the missing/stumbling problems I've been having.
Let's play 100,000 Pyramid :

- orange plugs (weren't orange until recently, swapped plugs about a month ago)
- orange O2's (weren't orange/rusty until recently, ends were white during header install last month)
- intermittent white smoke in exhaust

Leaking head and or gasket ! *dingdingdingding* we have a winner...

So... If the heads are coming off, I'll be damned if I'm putting them back on without working on them.

I'm going with Andy's Auto Stage 2 heads/cam package. Should be close to 400 rwhp when finished. I had planned to do it eventually anyway (since my plan is to stay N/A) but I hadn't planned to do it so soon... Argh.

I am at a complete loss to explain why the head/gasket is leaking coolant into all four driver side cylinders. No oil in coolant or coolant in oil as far as I can tell, no overheating (*knock on wood*)... I'm guessing either the gasket or the heads have a small leak when hot from the coolant passages into the cylinders, but on all 4 ?

I really haven't been that hard on the engine, less than 10 passes at the track and one dyno session - I'll also be damned if the wrenchmonkeys at the local dealership will be playing paint-by-numbers with my engine internals.

Anyways, the "surgery" should take place in a month or so, I will be sure to take lots of pics and keep everyone posted.

Happy driving,
Bad30th

Sounds good! Use the new MMS 218 cam if you want a nice mild 400+rwhp setup.
