Default Isky tool for notching pistons...HELP!

I've been to isky's site and its pretty much NONINFORMATIVE about what to get to flycut.

Give me a checklist here. Do I need a donor valve too? I'm looking at 2.02 intake valves that most likely will be a candidate for PV clearance issues with my new "little" camshaft and milled 5.3 heads

so what all do I need to buy (minus the drill of course)

TIA

This may be a stupid questions but how do you clean out the engine after flycutting the piston with the heads installed on the car?

You can't you fly cut the pistons with the heads on the car. I remove the head and use a dummy head or for convenience a quarter of a scrap head for this type of work. I use sharpened valves for the cutting and an adjustable drill. Grease the piston around the ringlands and afterwards drop the piston down the bore and wipe away the grease and swarf. The spare valve come cutter needs to be really sharp otherwise it won't cut your piston properly. Try testing it on some scrap aluminium first. I recommend an oversize valve to be safe, followed by a chamfer on the pistons. Mike.

Brian, we used this tool on my old motor with great luck. It is very easy to use.

Give Thunder a call. They have the complete setup from ISKY in stock ready to ship.
So thats why your #3 cylinder has a 20% leakdown? [/QB]
The tester I borrowed was a little old and beat up so the results were probably way off or I was doing something wrong due to my blood pressure being 400 over 300. The compresson check was good though 210ps1 was the lowest and 220ps1 was the highest.

The car is going back to stock so I can sell it and get a C5.
