Re: MMS H/C.. it's a start
since this whole issue started, a couple of other things have come up. i did run this car on the dyno and i was present for the before and afters.
with the flowmaster off, no muffler, it picked up 12 rwhp--still under 400. some of the ticking noise this car was making was due to leaking gaskets at the heads and misalignment of the y-pipe at the collectors (dont ask). this ticking noise that remains is too loud to simply be fuel injectors.
it's tough not to assume it's the lifers--afterall, the stock ones were kept in by the shop. i did wonder about a spring but according to the shop, if it was a spring, this car would run extremely rough (i.e. 7 cylinders) and that is not the case. there were periods during cold starts that this car idled extremely rough but it did eventually smooth out. now there are posts about the springs being potentially bad. this whole car has truly been an experience. i ran bassani midlengths w/orp (6 months back) and that did not do crap for this car. then there are the macs which is still questionable. finally, the last chance will be: hooker LTs and spintech catback. true 3" all the way back. i've also been assured the MAF is not the problem. these posts are not intended to discredit the shop. ive learned quite a bit from MMS.

Re: MMS H/C.. it's a start
I just wonder, have you A-Tapped to see if your getting any KR? I think that would effect the dyno readings? Have you looked at the WOT O2's?
I have the MMS S2 heads with the TR 220/220 cam in my A4 and only dynoed 370 with the FLP's and open cut-out. But, I was getting up to 4 degree's of KR and I didn't have all the bolt-ons. Also I have 3.73's and the TC wasn't locked when dynoed. Since then I've added ASP pulley, KO Box, Shaner S2 TB, Ported MAF ends & MAFT. Haven't gotten back to dyno yet but it should be in the normal range now.
Good luck and keep us posted.

I picked up 80 rwhp with my stage 1 heads and stock valves with hammer cam.
I think 80 rwhp is great. You have to look at the entire curve when looking at these guys who are making the same with cam and stock heads. They have less area under the curve.
