Knock Retard or Not?
Nothing major yet.
I am getting KR or False KR? I read through the link in nine-ball's posts and it sure sounds like false KR. I am soon to be getting from Thunder Racing Stage II Heads 99-GTPS2-S and 99-224/224-114 CAM and want to get this taken care of before I get those installed. I am trying to find someone with a autotap to get a final confirmation on this.
Here are the dyno runs that show it pretty well after 5000 RPM

Additional background:
When running WOT 4% rich, 2% Rich, 0, 2% lean, 4%lean on the MAFT does not make a difference.
When gradually taking the car to 6000 rpm in each gear, no matter what its perfectly smooth. No KR at all.
The only time I get the clanking of the KR it if I punch it to WOT and just like clock work around 5000 rpm the KR starts rattling.
I bought the MAFT and NKG Spark Plugs on recommendation that this may help stop the KR. No Luck.
The last thing I have not tried is to put the stock maf and airbox back on.
I am more then willing to try the knockout box and see if it gets rid of my KR.
Any other suggestions?

The new heads should cure it. Even my car had that when the motor was stock.

Now I have another reason to get the heads, other then the HP increase <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
For true confirmation you should Autotap with some unleaded race gas in the tank. If you still get KR then it's almost surely false.
