Default Ti retainers vs. Stock retainers

Other than weight reduction, what are the benifits of the TI retainers over the stock ones? Is it worth the $100 just to say you have them? Seems to me at the speed things are moving in there, the spring retainers wouldn't play that much of a role, other than uhhh... retaining.

True, I see where you're coming from, I would totally understand it on tougher springs, but on 918's... I suppose it's a little insurance though. I figured they were just lighter, but I guess they are stronger too?

Titanium retainers are a good investment where otherwise heavy valvetrain components are in use with engines running at 6k or greater RPM.

No reason to gamble an entire engine for $100, right?
