Default anyone else have this problem with the TR230 cam??

Just installed the cam this weekend and in 6th gear, if I give it the gas, the gearshift shakes bad and the car sputters around. So far, this only happens in 6th. I do still have stock tuning, but will be using LS1edit next weekend.
I'm hoping its a loose spark plug wire.

At what MPH/RPM does it happen?

Sounds familiar.. If your rpm is below 1800rpm then I would suspect cam surge type of activity, but if this is not the case I would check your injectors.. You might be running on 7 cylinders..

It happens on any MPH/RPM range in 6th. When I get home tonight, I am checking all the plugs and wires to make sure they are tight. Then take it down the road with an a-tap hooked up.

After we got it started, it ran great, then on my way home, about a half mile from the garage, I was stopped and it was idling around 900, then all the sudden it just dropped to 500 then back up. Hopefully something just shook loose and nothing major

Mine pulls strong in any gear above 1300 rpms. I've got OD coming on around 30 mph if you can believe that. I really lug the motor down with this cam...no cam surge. The real key to getting this cam to work is drilling out the throttle blade to the proper size. You want your AIC counts in the 40s at idle in neutral. For me, a 13/64" hole worked great. You could start at 3/16" and go bigger from there. Your hole should be between 3/16" and 1/4". Mine was on the smaller side.
