Default Cam only question....

So I have decided to go cam only and nitrous for now with my 00' SS A4.

Current Mods:

SLP longtubes
LID
Offroad Y (no cats)
Cat Back
3.42's
Underdrive pulley

Will be installed Before Cam Swap: LS6 intake

I have decided to go with the Texas Speed 224R cam on a 114 separation (I want this car to be as smooth as possible/sleeper). I figure this is a good cam to go with for now and when I upgrade the heads, I'll really be making serious power.

Heres my question:

My motor has on 15k miles on it. Do I really need to change the spring retainers etc.?

I was planning on going with TSp's CAM kit with the 918 springs and pushrods. Because I am going to later upgrade the heads ( TFS for sure) is it really worth the cash to go with the PRC kit?

What do you guys think this thing will put out with that cam, LS6 intake, and the aformentioned mods?

Thanks-

Matt

I was told it was a good idea to change the retainers. You might want to go ahead and do it, that way if you have something come up and aren't able to do the heads, you will be covered.

I was thinking the same thing.

Not to mention, that with this cam and a 150 shot, I'll probably be happy for a while.

Can someone tell me which retainers I will need if i just buy them separate?
