It all depends on what application your going for. If you plan to turbo, supercharge, or spray the engine I would recommend the cometics. If your just going for N/A stock gaskets will be fine. There are cheaper alternatives to stock GM but I wouldn't feel safe using them. There is about 3 threads in this forum about gaskets. I would go back and read those articles then make my decisions.

Cometics!!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Napa GM V.R. gaskets are about 12-15$ each.
Fel-pros go for about 60$ each, Mr Gasket MLS about the same and Cometic around 75$ each.
So who is cheaper than those??

Stock graphites work pretty well. Held up to well over 550 hp for me but they are only a 4" bore which limits their use for guys.
And if you try and get any headgasket from GM now you get stuck buying a kit with bolts etc.
