Spring Swap?
It can be done. I used a valve spring compressor from Autozone. It broke. Then I borrowed my neighbors - it has the star shaped handle. You can see what it looks like here: http://www.slponline.com/view_produc...TNUMBER=53306. And I used an air compressor with the air hold fitting from Autozone to hold the valves up.
The only hard part were the vavles in the rear under the cowl. Those were a major pain. And the keepers where a real hassle. Lost a few of them in the engine bay and had to beat on the engine and headers to get them to fall out. A magnet is a must and small fingers would help <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
I would definitely and always do it myself since I have the tools and would want to spend the money for labor on mods. I have read of others using a rope to keep the valves up when swapping the springs - do a search here and on ls1.com.
