You need to cut the spring seats larger for bigger springs. You need a shaft system (I am running Jessels), you need lifters, custom valve covers (like mine, but you cannot get mine!!! ahah) or SAM spacer. I also have an old ARE rev kit (well may still work).
Gains can be big and of course you can run a bigger cam in general without losing much drivability.

Re: What do you have to do to switch to solid.. Don't forget you have to flycut the pistons for the huge lift cam, or get a set of forged slugs that are alreadt flycut.
