Difference between LS6 & LS1 heads

Difference between LS6 & LS1 heads What is the difference between the ls6 and ls1 head. Can you tell by just looking at it?
A local mechanic is selling a set of stock LS6 heads but the heads look almost the same as my stock 98 heads. The only difference I can see is that the valve cover screws in differntly. But I know that the 97-98 valve covers were also changed in 99+ heads.
How can I make sure that the heads he is selling are LS6 or 99+ LS1 heads. If anyone has picture that would help allot.
