Sounds like yer looking for mileage as much as power. That can make a difference. Stay w/ *moderate* lift & duration #'s and no less than a 114 LSA. Say, .560/.560 220/220 @ 114.

Reliability?: Ported oil pump, double roller timing chain, Comp R lifters, ATI Super Damper. Double-coil valvesprings.

If you have "excessive" oil consumption, it could be going out in a lot of different places. Rings, seals, gaskets. Upper end is cheaper to fix than lower...

Suggestion: Sounds like you need a daily driver/beater as least as much as you want to improve the WS6. For about $2k, you can find reliable, dependable, economical transpo that may actually be a benefit to your insurance rates and your fuel consumption. I have a Merc Tracer that gets me around 95% of the time. 35mpg. Who cares about door-dings and rockchips in that thing?

I would start from the bottom up of the car.But if your not then start at the front of the motor and work your way back.
