Is it possible to ruin your OBDII with a MAF
I was at a mechanics the other day and overheard a mechanic telling some dude (apparantly throwing an SES code) that he may have fried his OBDII because of an aftermarket MAF. HOw is this possible? Even if the sensor is faulty, I can't see how it could FRY an OBDII. A faulty MAF sensor would just give off wrong readings (and cause a MAF SES code). Any insight? Or is this mechanic just an idiot?
