Default Cam or stall?

Im stuck between either a cam or stall for my 00 ws6. The car is pretty mild right now only having headers, tune, and dual exhaust. Im thinking about a cam from Texas-Speed or a 3600 stall.

I dont want anything really extreme but still want a fast street car. I dont know too much about cams and which one to get. Also, if I go with a stall....Vigilante or Yank?

Any suggestions would be really helpful....Thanks

Stall.... An Auto with tires and a stall will out perform an auto with just a cam.

If you only have money for one or the other, definitely get a stall. A stock automatic runs much better with a stall. 90% of the time, you'll need a stall to run a cam anyway, so may as well get that out of the way.

What cams are you looking at and what do honestly intend to do with your car? Daily driven fast street car, weekend toy, track warrior? If you are planning to go big on a cam, you may want more than 3600.

Also, IIRC, the Yank may stall a little higher, more like a 3800.

exactly what I was goin to write. stock cam/big stall great combo, big cam/stock convertor not so fun to drive car, and not too much performance gained.

like said earlier a stall first you have to have some supporting mods for that big cam you will get later on .so yes a stall and tires ls1 will usually out perform a big cam and stock otherwise car .Get a stall and it will really wake your car up alot ive seen times drop anywere from 2-3 tenths with just a stall and a few bolt ons
