Default Aftermarket oil pump

I've been thinking of upgrading the oil pump on my car to an ARE unit. I've been to the ARE site and I don't see anything on how to get one. Anyone here running one now? How easy/difficult is it to install one? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I bought mine from ARE at the same time I got the heads and cam. I don't think they update their site much. Just give them a call.

There's quite a bit of work involved. If you haven't done a cam yet, it would be the perfect time to do both.

Just did one..got the katech..just a blueprinted stock unit..don't think Katech changes the pressure like Are but they swear they are good enough for their c5r race cars so should be good enough for me.Gm put a stupid bolt in from the bottom so you have to drop the oil pan an inch and mess with the bolt that holds the pickup to the pump.Big pain in the ***.I also changed out timing sprockets and put in the jwis chain from katech at same time. With cam and valve springs and oil pump and all that it took us first timers like three days with quite a few hours and swear words.Springs is not fun with the heads on the car either...that damn engine is recessed so far back in there.. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
