Default 02+ LS1 stock with LS6 springs?

I have heard that GM started using LS6 valve springs on all LS1 and LS6 engines beginning in 2002. Is this true?

I would assume they used ls6 valve springs on ls6 engines. Im pretty sure they didnt on ls1s.
