I also agree that your all-stroke 382ci is making good power.

I'd go with a cam swap first, and get rid of (or port) that Holley intake. I've seen the flowbench comparisons between the two done back to back and the Holley needs to be ported just to flow as much as a stock LS6 intake. What a disappointment!!

The MTI R1 cam is excellent in those 382ci setups. If you decide to change the heads later, go with 2.055/1.60 Stage 2 LS6 heads. The larger cube motors really benefit from the LS6 heads.

If it has to be ported just to equal the LS6, I'd say it's about worthless, considering how horribly HOT it gets. When I bought it I was told it flowed the same as the LS6 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

I'll get on the dyno for about an hour after I have the intake manifold changed and try changing the Volant out to a regular lid and post the results ASAP!!! I may also try changing the BBK to a regular ported TB.

an update, or maybe more of just a teaser...

Car is getting the tranny fixed right now with carbon fiber syncros and steel 3/4 fork.

I just ordered the larger cam and it should be installed in a few weeks or so and will be dyno'd and re-tuned very shortly afterword.

It a Raging Motorsports grind, comp XE-R.
