Default Installing LS6 intake, need so help....

Before I start this task, i need to make something clear to myself that im not understanding. Since i have an LS1 manifold, and im swapping it out for an LS6 manifold, I keep reading that I need to plug some coolant lines, and some other coolant related things. My manifold came with a rubber hose, with a metal (what looks like plugs) kinda thing, but i dont now what the heck to do with it. Some help would be great, im starting this project Sunday.

Thank you

the heads on the ls1 have four small holes. these holes are located on the top inside corners of the heads.

two one each head, one on each end of each head.

when you get the ls1 intake off, you will see a metal tube running from the front of the motor to the rear directly under the intake.

this is the coolant line.

on the ls6 intake, you take that off and use the supplied two plugs that you described to plug the two rear holes and use the single crossover on the front of the motor.

the crossover tube described above, has a rubber tube that ataches to the thottle body on the drivers side.

hope this helps.

ps....at the back of the motor, there is a small in diameter yet tall as ehll sensor that sticks up. you cant see it till you get the intake off.

this is the oil pressure sending unit.

this sensor will get broken real easy if your not carefull. the barke booster has a vacum line going into it. unplug it and work it up and around that sensor as you remove the intake from the motor. it will break that sensor if your not carefull.

the sensor is made of plastic.

I think this in external but I'll help. The ls1 intake uses coolant lines the kinda X under the manifold....2 holes in back and two up front. The ls6 only uses the two up front. You will need a kit that includes the two rear plugs and the front coolant lines. http://home.austin.rr.com/jmx/car/mo...d/install.html This is a full write up on the install.
