im reading that some guys think double valve springs are needed this is cam? Is that so?
im looking at the 224/224 .563 114lsa from ls1speed and im getting the 918 springs, moly rods, katech oil pump, and running stock heads/bolt ons.

ill more than likely be shifting at 6400 or 6500 max

if this cam is gonna be to much, ill more than likely get the TR224. Any thoughts??

 

the 918 springs should be fine with this cam! unless you want more assurance, you can't go wrong with the double springs! good lukc with your setup!

 

The Comp 918s will work just fine with that cam. If the heads are off the car, there is really no reason not to upgrade to the doubles. However, since this looks to be a cam only setup, the 918s will be more than adequate. They have held up in every car we have installed them in.

I am using these in my car with the Comp 772 Titanium retainers and have had great luck with them.

yes this is a cam only install. The reason i was asking is because i got a great deal from Tom there and cant pass it up <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

i just dont have the money for heads right now and mainly i just want a cam anyway <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />
