Default LS6 Valve Seats

I intend to replace the standard '01 LS1 valve springs with the '01 LS6's.

I was wondering if someone could give me some advice/information as to weather it is essential that I replace the the standard valve seats/shims with ones from the LS6?

The mild cam that will be used in this set up is a 208/216 with .525" lift (TPIS ZL10). Everything otherwise is stock.

Thanks.

I posted this question awhile back,& no you don't need to do it.But if I had to do it over again,I'd go with the '02 set-up.From what I understand, they are an integral valve seal/valve seat.

Thanks John,

I thought that might be the case but its better to ask than to have a mishap.

Cheers,

Mark
