My car wants to die once in a while. It needs more air, but, I dont want the RPM at idle to go up any. (I like the lope) Will drilling out the throttle body hole larger also increase idle RPM??

In my experience, drilling out the hole has NOT caused any increase in idle speed.

Did you reprogram your PCM for the new cam? That should help.
Also try removing the HPP3 programing. It may be worth a try. You could always put it back in a matter of minutes.
Good Luck.

I'll say from my experience that it "should" increase your idle speed a little and definately will smooth the idle out. Drill only a small amount at a time, because you'll hate it if you go too big and the car drives itself down the street at 2200rpm's.

Drilling out the hole in the throttle body blade will smooth out the idle. It keeps the IAC motor pintle from trying to compenstate but never really "catching up".

Going from whatever the stock hole size is, to 13/64 (in my case) did NOT increase idle speed whatsoever as observed on a-tap. Just my experience.

Wow, lots of different opinions here. I am going to have to do it for sure either way, the car starts REALLY hard when hot. So, does anyone know the stock hole size in the throttle body blade so I can go get the appropriate drill bits ? TIA.
