Default Carbon buildup?

I took the vehicle in to the dealership because it was surging at idle (300-500rpms!) and they said it was from carbon buildup. Whats the best way to get rid of it. I hear there is a spray or foam or something that you can spray into your motor ad it gets rid of the carbon buildup or something, is this true and if so, whats it called and where can I get it? Any help is greatly appreciated...thanx!

Check the idle air control solenoid, it is on the throttle body. Pull it out and spray it with some carb cleaner. See if that helps any

GM Top end cleaner. It is like 7 bucks for a can. You can get either the spray or pour in. I would get the spray again.

Take the heads off and scrape it. Works the best from what I hear.

The LT1 guys all swear by this stuff called Seafoam. I think they get it at NAPA?
