Default Price Difference of MTI 422 vs. MTI 434

When it all comes down to it, what are the differences in both rwhp/rwtq (and power band) as well as overall cost in the two 'superstroker' packages from MTI, 422 and 434?

You would have to give them a call. Each stroker is a custom setup. So the prices will be different.

The only difference AFAIK, is the bore size. 4.100" for the 422cid engine, and 4.150(?) for the 434cid. Just the increase in cubic inches should be worth 15-20hp or so.

I would imagine cost is roughly the same, since the only difference is the bore size. I don't think there's any price difference between the different sleeves. The pistons are custom anyway, so no difference there. Same crank as well.

Maybe Tony will step in here and verify, since he would be the best one to ask...

With the same options, both motors are priced the same. MTI will not be selling any more 434ci setups until I thoroughly beat on mine to see how well it holds up in the longrun. So, this setup is still in the "testing" phase.

All super strokers are about the same price. Like George said, all the parts are custom anyways and those don't vary too much (if any) in price. Once you get past the price of the forged internals, everthing else is similar.

Mike, part of being a test vehicle owner for a shop is getting excellent discounts for my parts and engines. I also am completing a brand new webpage for MTI and it will be up and running within a couple weeks. That pays for the rest

Strife, both the all-bore 393 and my 434 use the same bore size. The 393ci is also in test-mode, that on is in SW's road-racing Corvette
