how to build oil pressure??
the only problem is after cranking the motor for some time and then connecting the harness the motor fires right up but no oil pressure, even after a few seconds. i tried this several times but no oil pressure????
what could be wrong???
is there a certain procedure to prime the pump??
could the oild pressure sender be bad??
any thing i check other tha what i stated???
Did you assemble the motor yourself?
could the sender be bad??? are they sensitive to shock ( i.e. dropping)?? is there a way to check if the sender is bad??
does anyone know how long it takes a new motor to build pressure??
i know that when you change your oil , and especially when you pun in a new oil filter with out pouring some oil in it, it takes a while for the oil presure guage to register anything.
so could a new motor without oil in it's passages take longer?
The easiest thing to do would be to swap in a new oil pressure sending unit. I'd bet that solves your problem. I wouldn't run the car until you're sure, though...
Get it from chriss@teamchev.com and tell him Levi Procter sent you. Cheapest around <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
i talked to a few shops , and it seems i didn't install the front oil gally plug!!!
i'll have to remove the front timing chain cover and install one in this weekend.
i'll tell you how it goes.
