Yeah I really need to get bank 1 seals replaced. If I swap those and still have a problem I'm out of ideas other than an issue with the heads themselves. PCV system is gone now and I'm still getting lots of smoke after it idles for a minute or two, so I think that wasn't the problem.

Anyway, if the bank 1 seals don't fix it I'm gonna see if TSP will exchange the heads for me.

My bad, was under the impression you had someone put the entire thing together. Hope you get everything straightened out.

I have a question with regards to this problem. Would excessive back pressure from a restrictive exhaust cause increased crank case pressure?

shouldnt have anything to do with it.. the pressures from a restricted exhaust is nothing compared to the pressures your rings see when they are on the compression stroke. if compression test checks out then your probably not pushing pressure into the crankcase.

if the PCV is deleted you will no longer have positive crankcrase ventilation though... the pressure will push itself out of the breathers as it builds up.
