Default Help me build my 10 sec car

Next spring I plan to do some major modding. I'm hoping to do a heads/cam/nitrous car that will run 10's. Right now I have all the bolt ons. I need some help picking the heads/cam, clutch and rear end. Here's what I'm figuring on so far....cartek stage 2 heads w/H cam, Spec stage 2 or 3 clutch, new slave cyclinder, acpt carbon fiber drive shaft, strange 12 bolt rear. I know I will need to upgrade my fuel system also. Any help or suggestions will be appreciated. I know this isn't gonna be cheap so I'm trying to figure how to budget this in by then. I'm guessing about $8000.

With a stock shortblock the first thing your gonna need to do is have a car that weighs 3300 to 3400 TOPS!!

There isnt one H/C cam car on here thats run 10's at a heavier weight than 3400lbs.

I would say S2X heads,P LS6 Intake,Z Cam
Flp's,Ory,3in with cutout,12 bolt 4.30,LS1 Edit

Then you;ll need a good clutch, hals,tq arm, slicks, skinnies and good air.

And remember,Light car too.

Just my opinion.

He also said he was going to use nitrous, not just H/C... So no weight reduction necessary

With all the stuff you just named that is a 10sec car but the most important thing your going to need is traction then you will hit the magic number.
