What cam for best idle & best power?

Re: What cam for best idle & best power? What's the HP difference between the 220 and the 224? I like the lift of the Thunder cam, but my car's gonna be a DD for a while and I can't have too rough an idle.

Re: What cam for best idle & best power? I am running the Tr224 on a 12 ls, but I wish I would have gotten the 114, because, although it sounds mean as hell, I realize that I would rather have the motor run smoother, so I could tell if there was a miss or something.

Re: What cam for best idle & best power? I'm putting in a 224/224 114 right now, literally. That's also with the stage 2 head setup. It should be done and tuned mid next week.

Re: What cam for best idle & best power? I have the Hammer cam with stage II heads, big valves, double springs, tt retainers etc. With tuning Im very happy with performance and idles nicely with or without AC.

Black: I ordered the 224 .563 114 from ls1speed and hopefully it will idle fine. I already have a freaky idle with the stall untill i drive like 2-3 miles or so then the puter adjusts.
if the idle sucks ill probably just drill out the hole a tad or raise the idle with edit 100 rpms or so more..
