Dark grey LS1 blocks?

Dark grey LS1 blocks? Does anyone have any information on the new LS1 blocks that are being made that are coming with a much darker shade of grey in color? The last three casting number is a 626, I think. Yes, they are aluminum and are LS1 bore size. I called both Lingenfelter and Katech and they have not seen any. Could these be a new 03 casting?
