i know eventually I do need to do the stall , im going to do a 3200 or so, but dont want to do it until i need to rebuild the tranny...gears as well---so without changing the stall and gears will this affect my driveability much or can it even be done?

You would want the Longtubes first if possible. I installed mine on stock manifolds and the cam was been choked literally. I still put up 385rwhp through stock manifolds, ORY, and a borlamouth, but there where some drivability issues that got resolved when I put the Longtubes. It is hard to explain but the engine would choke if you accelerated slowly to about 2500rpms then step on it. It would miss real bad like the exhaust wasn't able to keep up with the intake of air at WOT. Probably due to the overlap of the cam. Once the long tubes where in I was able to get most of my drivability issues under control tuning wise. I need to go back and do some WOT tunning at the dyno to get some final numbers. But right now my car is under 2 feet of snow. (This is what I get when I agree to do a tuneup on my wifes car in the winter, pull my car out for a day and bang 2 feet of snow fall on it before I get the other off the jack stands)

IMO, no way in HELL you should even think about a cam until other mods are done..its not just a bolt on you know...

Get LT's, build the tranny or whaveter, at least a stall...then think about cams..

Good luck

I have the TSP 233/239 cam and there is NO WAY I'd drive that car around w/out my Yank 3600 stall converter and 3.73 gears.
