Someone please tell me what this is ??? We changed out my spark plugs yesterday and 3 of them on the passengers side had this on them > http://web.tampabay.rr.com/swilli41/...sparkplug.html
What is it? is it piston debree from detonation? I had some detonation before the 160* stat and the HPP3 fan settings but it's now gone. The plugs were the origional AC Delco plugs from the factory as far as I know, my car was built in late '98 but it is a '99. It had 46,2XX miles on it at the time of the plug swap.

Re: Someone please tell me what this is ??? Yup, that is definately detonation. Doesn't look too severe I wouldn't worry about it too much since you said that you solved the problem.
