Default really low LSA's?

ok i did a search on this topic and the results that i got validated the question at hand.

why are we not using cams with lower LSA's i.e. 108-106? i know that vaccum and idle quality are a few reasons but with tuning could these be eliminated? what about the use of a vaccum can for the power breaks, manifold vaccum? i guess what im asking is if there is an actual good reason why it's not being done, or if it's just one of those fear of trying new things. as im about to be purchasing my new cam im looking at a 108 lobe sep and idle quality is not on my list of concerns. comments?

Biggest issue is idle quality, but reversion is an issue too. I know of one cylinder head guy who has some anti-reversion techniques he can use.

I'm contemplating throwing in a huge 110 cam into my car. I am very curious as to how bad the idle can get. Right now my 242/242/114 Lunati idles fine.

raging motorsports has has success with their 110 LSA but that was on a 230 cam. i see no reason to go lower than that. why do you want to?
