newbie w/ questions...
Oversquare and undersquare? What does it mean and what are the advantages/disadvantages to either?
What is the deal with the C5R ?
Thanks for dealing with my ignorance

Thats a C5R. It's road raced around the world, and GM built a lot of special race parts for it. For it to be raced, they have to be sold to the public. These are pretty much the ultimate LS1 parts available, and they have a price to match. They won overall at the 24 Hours of Daytona and twice in class at the 24 Hours of leMans in France
Oversquare is when the cylinder bore is larger than the length of the piston stroke. Think crotch rockets and F1 race cars. Big piston, short stroke.
Undersquare is like deisels. Generally associated with torque, this is sorta a missconception, but low speed driveability is typically better than a same displacement but bigger bore engine.
Clear enough, want more detail, anymore questions?
