Default Just my luck....

Raced a GTO last night and a little while later I stopped at a stoplight and heard a very slight knock. So i babied the car back home, upon further inspection it seems this is a valvetrain knock and not something from the bottom end. Well i checked the oil last night, but it was dark so I really couldnt see much. Well fast forward to earlier today I went to pull the valve covers to see what was up but for some reason I decided to check the oil again. I immediately noticed it was twice and full and milky, sure enough I have antifreeze in the oil Im thinking its a head gasket, but hell I dont know why, its just a cam-only car. So now I have that and a knock to figure out/ fix. Any suggestions guys?

Take your heads off and see if it was a bad head gasket and put new ones back on it. I would also drain your oil out imediately to keep it from rusting up your internals. If you drove for awhile to get it home I wouldn't be surprised if it tore up your bearings.

Yea Im pulling the motor this weekend, I need to change out a few gaskets (oil pan, timing cover, etc) I guess ill go ahead and yank the heads off and put new gaskets and bolts. It wasnt driven very much, As soon as it started acting up I went straight back and parked it.

probally a head gasket and you might be able to get away with just changing that but i would check out everything just to be safe.

I would use GM part # 12499217 for inexpensive head kit.
