TR 224 cam to big?

I have heard of people overcaming thier cars. I was wondering if any of you thaught that the TR 224 was too big for a Stage II headed car with full exhaust. I don't personally think so but a friend of mine thinks it is a little to big for a stock cubic inch LS1.

I've seen stock headed cars with full catback exhaust pull 400RWHP with a nice flat TQ curve...
