There are no aftermarket heads for the LS1. All of the heads available are either CNC or hand ported.
You will find the best results by going with one of the big name companies offering heads. MTI, GTP, ARE, etc.
Less known brands are EMT, TEA, and a few others. These heads produce very good results as well.

Honestly I would just send them to a machine shop and get them done right for a couple hundred bucks.TEA does good work and they are a sponsor.

This guy is a big sponsor for Drag Racing in our area. He does a lot of the 5-6 sec car heads. He has done LT1 heads bit never LS1 heads. The good news is, he's ported just about everything. Supra, 2.3L Ford, 2 and 4 valve 4.6 heads, you name it. All with very good results. It may take him a bit, but I'm pretty confident that he'll do a good job. It may not equal the performance of GTP or MTI heads or it may. Who knows. Regardless, it is worth the experiment to save well over $1000.
