it doesnt belong here, BUT IT IS FUNNY. haha. do you think other things are equal? such as weight? auto or t56? gearing? also the outcome could be different from a stop like at a drag strip. I would hope that a head/cam LT1 would be a cam only car. goes to show how important area under the curve is.

Thats great and all, but do you see LS1 owners posting videos in the LT1 section trying to prove something? No. Because that's lame.
Mods please put the video in the multimedia section where it belongs.

 

Did the ls1 not have headers?

 

The LS1 has LT's ORYP and cutout in the I-pipe. The LT1's torque curve is flat as a table 350rwtq at 3000rpm.

 

Mr. LT1, it's cool if you don't accept the LS1 yet (you will learn to one day). FWIW, my grandmother doesn't really like cell phones either.

Nice vid. Sooooo a car with more mods beat a car with less mods. Not sure why this is a big deal. I should post vids of when my car was stock pounding LT1's. To be honest they are about as much competition as 99-04 gt's bolt on for bolt on. Fast car nonetheless. Kind of to stir the pot as once you go into the motor, all bets are off. Run them again when the Ls1 has comparable mods ie heads and lets see the outcome.

 

cool vid B-Rad saw it over on CZ28.com, and come on guys its just a video. I dont see why it would matter that both cars have different mods if they both put down more or less the same power. pretty sure both cars are sweet so lets not get the panties in a wad!

the reason why the lt1 needs heads and cam is because the lt1 heads dont flow at all. and the ls1 heads do. but it is also cheaper for the lt1 to buy heads and cam, then it is the ls1. lt1 can almost buy both for what it cost an ls1 to buy a cam package.

Given that the 2 cars have similar rwhp. It becomes a drivers race. Oviously the other guy couldn't drive as well because once you put 1/2 or so car length on him you where about even during the rest of the run. No need for everyone to get their panties in a bunch. Congrats on a great win!
