Any ill Effects from Using a Metco Breather?

Any ill Effects from Using a Metco Breather? Has anyone had any problems after they put on their Metco valve cover breather? Does it effect emissions, set off codes, etc.?
Why didn't GM put a valve cover breather on the Ls1 in the first place?
I was hoping that it would curb my oil consumption problem.

Re: Any ill Effects from Using a Metco Breather? gm didnt do it because it lessens the eficiency of the pcv system also increasing emmissions, little did they know that their oil blocking ability is nihl.
i removed my pcv lines and just run 2 breathers. no more oil in the motor/

Re: Any ill Effects from Using a Metco Breather? i've had one one for about two weeks. haven't set any codes. doesn't look like i've used any oil since i installed it and changed my pcv valve.
