Any oppinion on what size cam you guys would run with it. Should I go as high as a 240? I am going to run a wet kit on it but only spraying when I go to the track maybe once a month so not that often. Thanks!

240/240 would be killer. It is what I have recommended to the guys who ask me and dont want to live at the track. But still want more then the average Joe.
240/240 .640/.640 on a 112 with 4 degrees of advance ground in.
Since you will rarely be spraying the car, but the cam for max N/A power and let the nitrous numbers fall where they may.

Hey John, I'm pretty sure that both yours and my springs can only handle .620 lift max.
240/240 sounds like a healthy cam for a 422ci, most customers opt for something smaller to increase drivability (232/237 R1). Some go even wilder and install a 244/244 like Colonel, PaiN, and myself.

.640 is too big for me!
I am more than happy with my "plenty of cushion" .581
The S1 244/244 is a MAD cam. MAD I tell you!
Sound the same in a 432 as n a 422?

Well, considering that the other two S1 cammed 422ci cars run open headers, my S1 cammed 434ci sounds awfully tame by comparison LOL!
Wait until I put the two bullet mufflers in my upcoming custom Y-pipe. I'm a sneaky <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />

A 240/240 .610/.610 114 is what I'm going with.
The 114 was recommended to keep idling problems to a minimum with the automatic. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
I'm also putting on 1.8 rockers which will bring the lift numbers up to .646/.646 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
Oh man I can't wait. I got the donor body on Monday. <img border="0" alt="[Truck]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_truck.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />

Sounds like it might be time to up my cam size. My R1 is seeming a little too tame for me. Any cam I don't have to fight is too small in my book.

I realize that a bigger CI motor requires more duration than a stock CI motor. How does this affect emissions? i.e., will the bigger motor with the bigger cam be as clean as the smaller motor with the smaller cam?
