Default What cam no tuning?

What cam would be good to run in an A4 with no tuning for a while?
Will the comp cam 218/224 work?

TR224 would be pretty good

i went with the LS1speed 224/224

but any cam will need tuning for best results. but guys run these without tuning and get great results

Nothing much bigger than the Comp 212/218 is gonna work w/ stock programming in an A4.

If yer hell-bent on having more power after tuning, wait until you can afford both.

HD's been drinking again. Eeven he had lock-up issues that went away once the misfire code was changed.

I guess it really depends upon your definition of "a while" and what compromises in idle etc you can live with. If it is no more than a couple months you might be ok. Some cars accept bigger cams no problem others need the tuning right away.

For no tuning with an A4, the Xtrooper cam works decent. 214/216 115 with 2 or 4 degrees of advance. In the short term a 220/220 114 is about as big as I would go with out tuning.

I have been on the TR-224 Cam with Stock Tuning for a lil over 4 Months now. Although I do have to put the car in Neutral at SToplights, Its not too bad. Its not something that I would want to live with forever, but it is tolerable. Cold starts are rough but when the car is warmed up it will idle beautifully in Park or Neutral at around 600 or 650 RPMS God, i love that lope it makes at those RPM's

However, i'll soon be bumpin up the idle via ls1 edit.
