Default Valve to piston clearance??

Hello, i was just wondering what lift you have to start worrying about valve to piston clearance if there is any, me and my dad have been trying to learn as much as possible about the LS1 since we just bought one not long ago and that topic has been bugging my dad, i figured i would try this site since most of you guys know what you are doing and could probably answer our question...

Thanks

Chris

Alonzo-- did you actually measure your clearance?
Do you have the minimum 100 thousanths?
Thanks <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />
Oh yeah...what size valves you using--that's important...

i found out that the circle base can be smaller on some cams... that means you would need a longer pushrod to offset the smaller base circle. might want to keep that in mind when checking valve clearance/getting p.rods.

Weird eh?

I do know that the valves are said to be longer too..
