Hey guy's,
As you all know, we have been very busy here filling a ton of head orders and doing engine building, I put in about 27 hours over the weekend. I have Paul's S2 car going on the dyno by this weekend with a TR 224 cam M6 they should set the standard for the expected power gains. Our S2's have already turned 411 RWH through an un locked stall with a 4L60E auto so this next M6 car should do very well. As you all know, I am not an advocate of high compression for street cars, so I just make high flow numbers to get the desired effect I am looking for. My S2 heads are only 10.5 compression and seem to hang with the best of them out there, our S1 heads are 10.3 and are pulling up to and over 400 RWH with low lift 218 cams. I have new S2 flow numbers but I will not post them yet, I would rather see what they do on the dyno first. I will be working on the Web Page this weekend and get some good info up for everyone.

Joe.

Nope <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
It does require you to run a higher octane than a lower comp motor needs though...
Depending on your ambient temps a cooler stat is a good idea as well.
Cheers,
Chris

I have some quick questions for some of you all knowledgable..

first off are the dyno numbers we are gonna be seeing from these heads going to be rather consistent... + or - 5-10 horse??? i know not any 2 heads are alike..

secondly if these "new" s2's produce approx the same hp as competitors s2's with lower compression and similar popular cam choices, this means that the heads themselves are somewhat superior???.. 2 ways i can think of.
1) mill the heads for more compression so go from 10.5 to 11.3 or 11.5 = more hp
2) technically they should flow better then the other popular s2's on the market because they are producing similar hp with less compression.. which in essence means you can run a slightly bigger cam then the popular choices, because the heads aren't milled so you have more ptv clearence ????

is this understanding true??

just curious, i have been in the market for a decent head and i know some of the more popular shops such as MTI and MMS and GTP are making great heads however we can still see more hp out of these heads!!!!

If this is true why not go with the 230/224 TR cam? Maybe joe will see this post again and be able to answer our question .. LOL if this is possible I am going to send back my 224/224 and get the 230/224 TR cam <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[hail]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_hail.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[guns]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_guns.gif" />
