Jessel users..step in..problem
First problem. When installed the rear of the rocker hit the cylinder head wall. So I clearenced that, now it can move. How many with LQ9 heads have had this problem??
Second problem. I then put on the shaft and then th erockers. Tighted down they will not move at all. The rockers are hitting the shaft. There is no play for lash!!!! They seem to bind down and will not move back at all. I am thinking I need .030 more clearence!!
WTF. Never had a problem with their SBC setups.
On my Jessel shaft it says 1.5, but I briefly talked to a guy at Jessel and he said that was a number for them. Hmmm I am not sure. I do not think these should be binding like they are.
I guess I will call Jessel again and maybe send the kit back to them to check out.
anybody else??? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
<img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> ALERT!!!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> make sure you insure them, I sent mine back UPS and thought I had insured them but they wasn't and they was stolen from a ups tranfer station...the empty box was found. UPS would only pay out $100.oo <img border="0" alt="[whiner]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cry.gif" />
So to make a long aggravating story short I had to pay for another set...BTW I did not have to clearance the head only the baffles on the vavle cavers.

THe Jessel J2K system cost about $950. THe valve covers I got are custom from Jay Fisher. They are billet aluminum and cost $500, but are the best looking covers I have senn. Much much better than Katechs or ARE's. I will have to notch them a lil though. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />

One more question. How tall are the spacers? I want to check and make sure they won't cause any interference problems with all the crap on top of a truck setup. <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
