Thunder Racing 228r or a custom grind from Patrick G (I believe he's working for Thunder now).

TR230 FTW! I couldnt be any happier with mine. Makes great power, has a nice lopey idle, and has great street manners after the tune.

I ordered a 227/234, but will not have results on it for quite some time since I have not even received any of the parts yet.

I ran the TR 230/224 cam only, for over a year with great results. See sig times. It dyno'd 390rwhp with the ls6 int and FLP headers.

I think the TR 236/230 would be awsome with some budget heads or cam only app.

You might also want to think about a TSP 231/237 Cam .595/.598. 112 LSA. Thats what I run. It's got awesome street manners, it would be relatively easy to tune, and it stills has a nice lope to it. I know it's a little bigger than what you were looking at, but it does great as a dd

Lunati 236/236-112LSA

Perfect. Sounds like a monster and it is just as streetable as the smaller cam it replaced.

I even ran this Lunati cam with my Incon Twin Turbo set-up.

*Don't be afraid of duration in the 230's. They drive about the same as a high 220's duration.

No big deal. Don't worry yourself over splitting hairs.

I believe your LSA decides the chop and it will determine where your peak torque is moved RPM-wise.

so a 110 LSA will have more top end vs a 114 LSA will have lower RPM power.

your lift should also math your LSA. so it would not be a good setup getting a 220/220 cam with a 108 LSA or a 242/248 cam with a 114 lsa

LSA Vs Durations decide overlap (The more overlap the harder the lope)

You cannot generalise by saying 110 will do that and 114 will do this.
The cam behavior is based on all VEs (valve events).

One tailors the VEs to the needs of the setup, ie the desired purpose of the combo.

So what this means is a 220/220 108LSA can be very beneficial for certain applications it a certain size motor.

While a 242/248 114 would be lazy in a 346, it would be nice in a 383 for exemple or a mildd 402/408
