This dosen't have anything to od with internal mods, but on my stock Z28, I had bad piston slap, and on my SS in stock form it has bad piston slap, but I seem to be the only one w/ this problem, none of my friends do. can i run a different oil, or am I doing something wrong?

 

Hi 35th Z, Does the piston slap noise stop when the engine is fully warm. If it does, you don,t really have much to worry about. But if it bothers you, run a heavier weight motor oil. Sometimes that helps but it might cause other noises. Jimmy

 

It gets a little quiter but not much, maybe i am just perinoid, I am already running 15/50 mobil 1
