Default break in question

Just completed my cam and spring install last weekend and our club is getting ready for a dyno day , how many miles,how long running motor should one wait before doing something stressful like dynoing ? Ive heard the cam doesnt need broken in but what about the new springs ?

To be safe, you might want to put on like 100 miles or so. And also, dont forget to change your engine oil about the next day after you did the install. You want to get all that new crap like the break in lube and other new deposits out of your engine.

Everyone is going to have differing opinions here, but there really is no break in of any kind required with a cam swap (when you're talking about a roller cam like we have). It wouldn't be a bad idea to heat cycle the new valvesprings a couple of times by just getting the car up to temperature, then shutting it down an letting it cool completely.

Just drive it normal for as long as you can and give it a couple of heat cycles.You will be fine.
