Default Head bolt help

I've got an LS1 from a vette in my 92 Camaro. A friend ported my heads and we put them on today, otherwise the engine is stock. We re-used the stock head bolts (yes I know we should have gotten new ones now) and torqued them down to 57 lbs. This is the first time we've done an LS1 and didn't feel comfortable going the full 2 90 degree turns on re-used bolts. Would it be safe to continue to turn them on to 70 ft. lbs., or will they strip or break? I really need to know because I've gotta have my car by the end of the week.

You really need to get those bolts out and some new ones in. You won't last long.
